Day & Zimmermann Hawthorne Corp., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was awarded a $2,301,227,487 firm-fixed-price contract for operation, maintenance and modernization of Hawthorne Army Depot, including demilitarization of specified families of ammunition and supply depot operations at Joint Munitions Command’s largest joint storage depot. The contract also includes execution of 14 additional performance work statements to provide support functions such as safety, security, fire and emergency services, environmental, government property, information technology and occupational health. Bids were solicited via the internet with four received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 29, 2046.
