Synopsis:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (USACE) has the responsibility under federal law to preserve for future use, certain collections of archeological artifacts, specimens and associated records. USACE requires curatorial services to carry out this responsibility. USACE recognizes the benefits which will accrue to it, the public and scientific interests by housing and maintaining the collection for study and other educational purposes. 

The Yakama Nation Museum and Cultural Center (Yakama Museum; Repository) and the USACE recognize the U.S. Government's continued ownership and control over collections and any other U.S. Government-owned property provided to the Repository, and the U.S. Government's responsibility to ensure that the collection and the property are suitably managed and preserved for the public good.

This is a firm-fixed price contract to curate materials from Site 45SA11 (1260 cubic feet of artifact boxes and associated records) for a base period and four option years (five years total) or until terminated or revoked. Work shall begin as outlined with the resulting contract schedule or until terminated or revoked. The Repository shall perform to the standards in the contract and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations during the services performed.

A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement to the contracting officer before the notice end date.  If no affirmative written responses are received by 10:00 AM Pacific time on 13 October 2026, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the sole source action. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Electronic responses and questions shall be submitted via email to BOTH POCs listed, below.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is not responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
