Notice of Intent to Sole Source: SemiLab Ellipsometer Parts, Service, and Training

The Treasury Common Services Center – Acquisition Services intends to award a sole-source purchase order to SemiLab Trade LLC for SemiLab SE-2000 proprietary replacement parts, corrective maintenance, training, and annual preventative maintenance. This is for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), DC Currency Facility, Office of Technology Development. The purchase order will be awarded under RFO FAR 12.102(a), as the Contracting Officer has determined that only one source is available. SemiLab Trade LLC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and owns the patent/proprietary intellectual property, parts, schematics, and technical capability required to maintain, calibrate, and repair the BEP-owned SemiLab SE-2000 Ellipsometer, an essential analytical instrument used by the Research Analysis Division for material characterization, research and development investigations, and production-support studies

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any responses shall be submitted electronically to the Contracting Officer at kaiti.williams@bep.gov by the date and time specified in this notice. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
