This Statement of Work outlines the contractor s responsibilities for providing brand name or equivalent equipment that meets or exceeds all specified operational, safety, and performance requirements. The Contractor is responsible for furnishing, delivering, installing, and testing all required equipment, as well as providing comprehensive training, technical documentation, and post installation support to ensure the Veteran can safely and effectively operate the equipment. This Scope defines the boundaries of contractor performance, including adherence to manufacturer specifications, delivery and installation at the designated site, completion of all mandatory performance tests, and the provision of all training and instructional materials. All items shall be brand name or equivalent and must meet or exceed the specifications identified in the Veteran s self employment plan. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS Equipment Requirements: All equipment, whether brand name or equivalent, shall meet or exceed the required specifications outlined in the Veteran s approved self employment plan. Equipment must be fully compatible with the intended agricultural land clearing operations and capable of performing all required functions safely and effectively. Vendor performance will be evaluated on the delivery of equipment that meets these standards, along with the completeness and accuracy of all manuals, technical specifications, and training materials provided. Equipment Specifications: Mulching Head: The Mulching Head offers exceptional performance with its high-power capabilities, allowing for efficient and thorough mulching of dense vegetation, enhancing your land clearing productivity. These mulching heads, built for compatible loaders, feature a durable steel frame, efficient mulching chamber, and smooth rotor design that reduces drag and power use. An adjustable push bar and sealed rotor bearings enhance versatility and long-term performance. Equipped with a two-speed hydraulic system and 36 double-carbide-tipped teeth, the mulching head efficiently processes up to 8-in. (20.3-cm) trees and 12-in. (30.5-cm) stumps. Its redesigned chamber optimizes material flow and reduces wear, delivering high-quality mulch quickly and effectively. Prominently positioned pressure gauge that is visible from the cab lets operators easily monitor hydraulic operating pressure for optimized performance. Mulching Head Overall Width 85.0 in. The auxiliary hoses to the prime mover are individually protected with a Cordura sleeve and collectively wrapped with an additional spiral hose protector to prevent hose damage. Cutters come standard with a motor cover that protects the hydraulic hose connections from debris. Many competitive models leave these components exposed and vulnerable to damage. The Series utilize a hydraulic valve to brake quickly and safely. An audible sound is heard during shutdown to indicate the blades stopped spinning. The direct drive bearing requires a 1200-hour drain and refill maintenance interval. Many competitors typically require maintenance intervals as low as 500 hours. A heavy-duty front push bar is integrated into the rotary cutter deck structure which can be used to guide trees when felling. Aggressively serrated corners of the push bar are useful to maneuver trees and brush. It uses a high-speed cutting disc which is designed for maximum efficiency and power allowing operators to tackle anything from brush and vines to trees of any kind. It works with High-flow and standard flow skid-steers and features an industry leading 90-degree hydraulic rotate function that allows ground level cutting or limb work to be accomplished without leaving the safety and comfort of the skid steers cab. The Turbo Saw comes equipped with a 90-degree hydraulic rotate feature. This allows the operator to rotate the cutting disc from horizontal to vertical for trimming limbs up to 18 foot off the ground. At the push of a button the Turbo Saw switches from an ultra-fast tree feller to a high production limbing attachment, capable of clearing equipment paths or fence lines with ease. Cutting System: TS5 is the third-generation carbide cutting system from DFM, representing a major leap in tree cutting technology with dramatically improved performance and durability. TS5 teeth are larger and more efficient than the previous generation with a more aggressive cutting angle. TS5 blades are designed to reduce binding and feature an indexable 4-sided tooth that lasts up to 125 hours per side and can be replaced in field with a 1/4" hex bit on a socket wrench. The high-speed cutting disc combined with deep chip storage and a minimal bite amplifies available hydraulic power to the saw, allowing a wide range of skid steers to run a Turbo Saw regardless of tree size or density.
