Domestic Nitrile Examination Gloves Solicitation

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products prepared in accordance with part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number [SPE2DV-26-R-0001] is issued as a request for proposal (RFP) for domestically manufactured Halyard Sterling SensiGuard (SG) Nitrile Powder‑Free Examination Gloves in six sizes, from Extra Small (XS) through Extra-Extra Large (XXL). The contract will include a one (1) year base period and two (2) additional six (6) month option periods. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov.

The annual usage estimates will be provided in the Schedule of Supplies section of the solicitation.

A non-competitive, sole-source acquisition strategy is being utilized pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) (as implemented by FAR 6.303-1, Only One Responsible Source) and further justified under justified under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(3) (as implemented by FAR 6.103‑3, Industrial Mobilization).

A contract resulting from this solicitation will establish a national supply source, in accordance with FAR 52.216-22 (Indefinite Quantity) to provide the items listed in the schedule for purchase by DLA and Defense Health Agency (DHA) customers through the DLA Medical Surgical Prime Vendor program.
