Intent to Sole Source: Slocumb Gate Actuator

The 4th Contracting Squadron (4 CONS) at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC, intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to Delta Scientific Corporation(40355 Delta LN, Palmdale California, 93551) to provide a critical part to the HD300EM Barrier system at Seymour Johnson AFB. Actuator Model Number MPAI-A4300RM34A, 230 VOLT  must be calibrated correctly for barrier system HD300EM which is used for Slocumb Gate. The unique and specific configuration required is proprietary only to Delta Scientific Corporation. There are no other sources that can calibrate the actuator to correctly deploy, and retract. This is due to the fact that Slocumb Gate barrier system was awarded to Delta Scientific Corporation. This contract action is being conducted under the authority of R-DFARS 206.103-170, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
