PALOUSE RANGER DISTRICT JANITORIAL SERVICES

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

The Forest Service request janitorial services for the Palouse Ranger District, Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests, Latah County, Idaho.  The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, transportation, tools, equipment, labor, and supplies (except those provided by the Government) necessary to ensure that custodial services are performed at the location designated on the Schedule of Supplies/Services and in a manner that will maintain a satisfactory facility condition and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance. Equipment and supplies furnished by the contractor shall be a quality and size commonly used by commercial firms in servicing a building of comparable size.

Janitorial services are needed for three Federally-controlled buildings.  One building will require year-round janitorial services and two buildings will require biannual janitorial service.  Janitorial services are required year-round for the Palouse Ranger District Main Office.  Janitorial services are required bi-annually for the Krebs Hilton Bunkhouse and the Resident Bunkhouse.  The Palouse RD Main Office, Krebs Hilton Bunkhouse, and Resident Bunkhouse were all built in 1961.  There are no known unique elements to be taken into consideration with the exception of floor to ceiling, wood paneling in the Main Office Conference Room and approximately half of the rooms in the Main Office basement.  All buildings are located at the Palouse Ranger District office in Potlatch, Idaho. 1700 Highway 6 Potlatch, ID 83855

Solicitation number 1240BD26Q0039 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).

The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 561720.  The small business size standard is $22.0 Million.  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.  The Service code is S201 Janitorial Services.

The contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract with 1 base year and 1 Option Year for a possible total of 2 years. The period of performance will be:

Base Period                 06/01/2026 – 05/31/2027
Option Period 1           06/01/2027 – 05/31/2028
