NOI to Sole Source to BD Biosciences for maintenance service

The Department of Laboratory Medicine’s Hematology Service performs Flow Cytometric Immunophenotyping as an indispensable tool for the diagnosis, classification, staging and monitoring of hematologic neoplasms in addition to evaluating residual disease after patients have undergone treatment pertaining to their protocol. The purpose of this procurement is to purchase a one-year On-site service contract agreement for the BD FACSCanto II (Serial#: V96100699) and FACSLoader (Serial#: F06500302) instruments.

Scope of Work:

The Company, BD, in accordance with the written contract,

1. Maintains the prices quoted firm for the period of the quotation
2. Provides standard warranty as outlined in the quote.

This is a sole-source request in accordance with FAR 13.103-1 and 6.302-1. The request is based on the need to procure maintenance services for a BD FACSCanto II Flow Cytometry Cell Analyzer, attached FACSLoader instrument with one computer station.

The Clinical Center (CC), Department of Laboratory Medicine (DLM), plans to procure maintenance services for a BD FACSCanto II Flow Cytometry Cell Analyzer, attached FACSLoader instrument with one computer workstation on a sole source basis from Becton Dickinson Company, 155 North McCarthy Boulevard Milpitas, California 95035.
