Special Notice
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District (USACE) will be soliciting proposals for the construction contract for the Air Traffic Control Tower project at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
As part of the construction contract solicitation, USACE intends to include the following sole source requirements:
The ATCT project proposes to utilize a back-up power system from Cummins at the request of the FTC DPW, to align with similar back-up power systems already in use at FTC and manufactured by Cummins. FTC DPW shop personnel are trained in the operation and maintenance of Cummins generators. By continuing to install Cummins generators, the DPW personnel will be able to maximize the training and experience with this vendor and generator system. Savings are projected as a result of fewer contracts and reduced overall costs for maintenance, replacement parts, authorities to operate (ATOs), technician certifications, and training for a single brand versus multiple brands.
*This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals; however, if any interested party believes that they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a capability statement to the point of contact listed in this Special Notice. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow USACE to be able to determine if the interested party can perform the requirement described herein. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The submission must be received no later than 1:00 PM ET on 31 July 2026 to thoams.s.nauert@usace.army.mil.
