The U.S. Consulate General Chennai invites all responsible bidders to submit the best competitive quotes for the “Elevator modernization works at the U.S. Consulate General Chennai,” as described in the attached solicitation documents.   

The vendor shall furnish all the information required to complete the work as specified in the solicitation document.  Please refer to the attached Request for Quote (RFQ) letter for more details. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered.

1. Registration for site inspection: Friday, August 7, 2026, by 12:00 noon (IST) to ChennaiProcurement@state.gov
2. Mandatory site inspection with vendors: Monday, August 10, 2026, at 02:30 p.m. (IST) at the U.S. Consulate General Chennai located at No. 220, Anna Salai, Chennai 600 006.
3. Deadline to submit technical queries: Wednesday, August 12, 2026, by 03:00 p.m. (IST) to ChennaiProcurement@state.gov
4. Deadline for RFQ Submittal: Monday, August 17, 2026, by COB (IST) to ChennaiProcurement@state.gov

• This solicitation is intended mainly for local vendors, as vendor participation is required in the mandatory site inspection.
