Clarification Question:
Q: Is three-phase electrical power available at the sterilizer’s point of use at the Kentucky Tobacco Research and Development Center? If so, please provide the available voltage and amperage.
The manufacturer needs this information to determine the appropriate sterilizer configuration and prepare an accurate quotation.
A: Yes, the Kentucky Tobacco Research and Development Center has 208‑volt, three‑phase electrical service available throughout the building, with amperage varying by location, but a separate steam generator will not be needed since steam is provided by the building. Because of that, the sterilizer is expected to require only standard 120‑volt electrical service for operation.
