Phased Launch Test Demonstration (PLTD)

The Conventional Test Facilities (CTF) Program at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane is advancing a prototype project opportunity: Phased Launch Test Demonstration for Strategic Systems Programs. The PLTD initiative is designed to accelerate the readiness of test infrastructure for critical strategic missile systems. The project will focus on rapid prototyping and a phased testing approach to generate early data, which will guide key development decisions for future missile and launcher subsystems. The initial phases will consist of tests conducting air launches, and the final phases will conduct tests utilizing underwater launches.
