Procurement of Skurka Motors

Technical Applications Products (TAP) has a requirement to purchase items for the Advanced Airborne Research Equipment (AARE) suite, an airborne collection platform, to procure five (5) Skurka AC Motors (brand-name) is deemed as a single source requirement. These switches are critical to the AARE gas collection system; the loss of these items eliminates the capability of the equipment to perform its nationally tasked mission. In accordance with RFO 12.102(a), a written justification & approval is not required and will not be released.
