Intent to Sole Source to Thermo Fisher for on-site preventative maintenance and full-service ISO 9001 calibration on 21 Incubators

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Thermo Fisher Scientific for on-site preventative maintenance and full-service ISO 9001 calibration on 21 Incubators. Thermo Fisher Scientific will provide both annual preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance with parts, labor, and travel included. To include priority technical support, targeted response times, and the use of certified field service engineers with advanced digital diagnostic tools. Additionally, Unity will provide ISO 9001 calibration. All services are to be performed at a government facility. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.  A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  Any quotation/response should be emailed to Denedra Hardy at qfa5@cdc.gov by 2:00PM EDT August 31, 2026.
