Dehumidifier Purchase

This solicitation is for the purchase of 200 personal dehumidifier.

Dehumidifiers shall meet or exceed the following specifications and salient characteristics which are similar or equal to a TABYIK model CS50-SR dehumidifier:

1. Usage: Units will be utilized in a standard military barracks room.

2. Portable: Units shall be compact in design with a minimal over-all size and footprint that meet the requirements as spelled out in this document. They must be easily relocatable with little or no effort. Casters are preferred; however, wheels are acceptable.

3. Physical Features: The height of the unit should not exceed 21”. The units should be white or black in color.

4. Power Requirements: Units must be 110/120 VAC and work in a standard wall outlet with an American standard three prong outlet with a ground.

5. Required Operational Features:

• Extracts at least 35 pints of water per 24 hours
• Must have an external drainage connection and included drainage hose of at least 10 ft
• Must have an internal pump and capability to automatically drain the collected water into an elevated sink
• Auto shutoff that prevents overflow
• Handle(s) and wheels for easy portability
• ENERGY-STAR certified

* Between the referenced model (TABYIK CS50-SR) and the listed specifications (35-pint capacity, internal pump), which should take precedence? – The minimum capacity required is 35 pint/hr. The internal pump is a strict requirement to allow the dehumidifier to automatically drain water through a hose and into an elevated sink (above ground level).

* Is the 21” height requirement strict, or would a unit around 23.25” be acceptable? – 23.25” is the max height requirement. Shorter is preferred.

* Are you specifically looking for a unit with an internal pump and a 10 ft drainage hose, or would a unit with continuous gravity drainage (hose connection) be acceptable? – An internal pump is a strict requirement. A drainage hose of at least 10’ is also a strict requirement.

* Is the 10 ft drainage hose requirement mandatory, or can a different length be provided if the unit otherwise meets performance requirements?  - An included 10’ drainage is a strict requirement.

* Is ENERGY STAR certification required, or preferred? – ENERGY STAR certification is preferred.
