FRESENIUS AQUA-C UNO H REVERSE OSMOSIS DIALYSIS WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS

This is a solicitation notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 5.  This notice also serves as the public announcement of the government’s intent to award on a sole source basis, as required by FAR 5.101(c)   This is not a request for competitive quotes.

Notice of Intent to Award on a Sole Source Basis.  The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – Pacific (MRCO-P) intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to: Fresenius USA Inc., 920 Winter ST, Waltham, MA, 02451-1521, Cage - 0NJV1

The authority for this non-competitive simplified acquisition action is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source.  In accordance with FAR 12.102(a), the government documented its decision that only one source is reasonably available to provide the required Fresenius Aqua-C Uno reverse osmosis water treatment system to include the AquaC 15 Amp, Softener Portabl incl. salt tablet kit, AquaCaddy V2 Backflow Prevention/RPZ, AquaCaddy V2 Bolt On HD Conn.Kit(Option), AquaCaddy V2 Booster Pump, Aqua Caddy - Dual Carbon Block, AAMI Water Profile Kit , Acute Wheel Package and Aqua C Uno RO Install with Isopure Cart  The basis for this decision is that Fresenius USA Inc. is the only source capable of meeting the government’s requirement because Fresenius USA, Inc., is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the Aqua-C 15 Amp Water Purifying System and accessories.  The Aqua-C 15 Amp Water Purification System is the only system available that is compatible with the government-owned Fresenius 2008T BlueStar Hemodialysis system.

Interested parties who believe they can satisfy the requirements listed in the solicitation may identify their interest and capability by submitting a capability statement to the point of contact listed below.  This documentation must be submitted no later than 19 April 2026.  The government will review any capability statements received and may amend this solicitation if it is determined that a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the government.  A determination by the government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.  Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

This notice serves as the formal solicitation for the intended source.  Fresenius USA Inc. is requested to submit a quote in response to the attached SF Form 1449, and the instructions contained herein and Additional Instructions and Information (Attachment 01).
