Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Innovation Ecosystem (VHAIE); Broad Agency Announcement (BAA); Suicide Prevention

This Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) is closed as of today, 9/30/2026. VA is no longer accepting Concept Paper submissions under this solicitation. Any Concept Papers received after this date will not be reviewed.

VA will release a next-generation Broad Agency Announcement for Suicide Prevention in early Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27). This will be a separate solicitation with its own number and instructions, to be posted on SAM.gov when available. The next-generation BAA will incorporate lessons learned from this announcement, reflect new VA priorities, and include refinements to the areas of interest, submission process, and evaluation timelines, with the goal of making the opportunity clearer and more accessible to offerors.

Interested parties should monitor SAM.gov for the new announcement.

Concept Papers - Submissions will be accepted from July 15, 2024 – Septemb 30, 2026. In response to this BAA solicitation, Concept Papers must be submitted to: VHASuicidePreventionBAA@va.gov

VHAIE invites all potential offerors (including private sector companies, non-profits, and institutions of higher learning) to contribute ideas for innovations in SUICIDE prevention, care coordination, and treatment that significantly increase Veteran access to services, reduce or control costs of delivering those services, enhance the performance of VA operations, and improve the quality of service that Veterans and their families receive.
