The Notice of Intent to Restrict Competition –Stryker VariAx Orthopedic Instrument Trays.

The Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS), Shiprock Service Unit located in Shiprock, New Mexico, intends to restrict competition and negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed-price award with Howmedica Osteonics, Inc. DBA Stryker Orthopaedics (UEI: E5DLYCJBNYX7). Howmedica Osteonics, Inc, is the only vendor capable of providing Stryker VariAx orthopedic instrument trays. The NAICS code is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, with an associated small business size standard of 1,000 employees.

The delivery date will be 60 days ARO.

Simplified Procedures from RFO 12.201-1 will be utilized in accordance with 41 U.S.C 1901.

The notice is not a solicitation or request for offers. Vendors capable of providing the stated supplies may submit a capability statement. Verbal responses will not be acknowledged or considered. Responses are due no later than September 8, 2026, at 8:00 am (MDT). A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A solicitation will not be issued.
