All businesses may submit a capability statement; however, a statement should be included indicating whether the company is considered a small business under the above NAICS code. Interested parties are expected to review this notice and the draft Statement of Work (SOW) to familiarize themselves with the requirements of this project; failure to do so will be at your firm’s own risk. Background: Despite Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines, screening will remain central for decades to control cervical cancer. Recently, HPV testing alone or with cytology was introduced in the US as an alternative to cytology screening. However, most HPV infections are harmless, and additional tests are required to identify women at highest cancer risk. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has analyzed data for over 1.5 million women screened for cervical cancer at Kaiser Permanente Northern California (KPNC) clinics. In addition, National Cancer Institute (NCI) has funded previous studies conducted at Kaiser Permanente Northern California to collect biospecimens for biomarker testing and to study risk estimates for cervical cancer screening. To continue these efforts and generate long-term risk estimates, follow-up, de-identified clinical data from participants in these studies is required. Purpose and objectives: The NCI will follow the status of women undergoing cervical cancer screening at KPNC. This follow-up requires the Contractor to provide detailed clinical and risk factor history and follow-up data for women enrolled in previous studies, including de-identified data on the status of women undergoing cervical cancer screening at KPNC. This acquisition will collect the results of all Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and cytology-based testing as well as all colposcopy, biopsy and treatment procedures, as well as relevant co-factor data, within their screening program. The purpose of this Small Business Sources Sought Notice is to identify qualified small business concerns including HUBZone small businesses; veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; women-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses that are interested in and capable of performing the work described herein. The NCI does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses received nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information received. As a result of this SBSS notice, the NCI may issue a Request for Proposal (RFP). THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claim against the NCI shall arise as a result of a response to this Small Business Sources Sought Notice or the NCI’s use of such information as either part of the evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirements.
