Tier 1 & 2 Additive Manufacturing Polymer-based Systems Request for Information (RFI)

8/11/2026 - Re-opening RFI to allow for additional responses.  The Government is reviewing submissions recieved as of 7/22/2026 Previous respondants do not need to resubmit. 

NAVAIR seeks information from industry regarding commercially available polymer-based additive manufacturing systems capable of supporting shipboard, land-based, expeditionary, and developmental operations.  The current polymer additive manufacturing (AM) systems, deployed to various Fleet Readiness Centers and operational units as Tier 1 and Teir 2 AM systems, require a technology refresh to address evolving operational needs, improve reliability, and enhance material capabilities.
