Preventative Maintenance and Repair of Heavy Equipment for the Fort Mifflin Project Office

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) for Preventative Maintenance and Repair of Heavy Equipment for the Fort Mifflin Project Office within the USACE Philadelphia (NAP) District area of responsibility in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS).

The Contractor is responsible for scheduling work in accordance with the requirements of task order issued and during regular business hours when scheduling on site work. The site conducts regular business from 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, except for federal holidays. All work is to be performed during these regular business hours. Any hours to be worked outside of the regular business hours shall be coordinated with the COR.

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform preventative maintenance and repair of heavy equipment for the Fort Mifflin Project Office as defined in this Performance Work Statement except for those items specified as government furnished property and services. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract.

The Fort Mifflin Project Office is responsible for the construction of the district’s disposal areas located along the Delaware River. Our mission supports the deepening and the maintenance dredging of the Delaware River and Wilmington Harbor. Heavy Equipment is utilized to construct dikes, ditching for drying and other dirt work. Our equipment is currently composed of D6 Dozers, Excavators (tracks and pontoons), dump trucks (articulated). Without equipment to provide the necessary dirt work in these disposals’ areas, dredging assignments in the Delaware Harbor could not be accomplished. It is important that dredging and proper disposal activities of dredge materials is accomplished because it directly effects commerce and the safety of vessels transporting commodities and other resources to the ports.
