End of the World Long Term Stewardship

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 12363N26R4016 is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the End of the World G-Z Long-Term IRSC (EOTW G-Z LTIRSC). The End of the World Project area is approximately 50,000 acres on the Salmon River Ranger District of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest. The End of the World EIS authorizes commercial treatment on over 17,000 acres primarily through intermediate harvest. The purpose of the EOTW G-Z LTIRSC is to thin overstocked stands to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfire as well as improve stand health. The EOTW Project is within the Wildland Urban Interface and has numerous private inholdings with seasonal and permanent residents. This contracting tool will increase the pace and scale of active management beyond the current capacity of staffing levels.

A secondary objective of the EOTW G-Z LTIRSC is to provide a steady, dependable supply of timber and forest products to local facilities. This project aligns with Secretarial Memo 1078-006 and the Implementation of Secretarial Memo 1078-006 dated April 3, 2025 to utilize long term stewardship contracts for active management.

This acquisition  is not set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 113310  and the small business size standard is 500 Employees  This acquisition is an unrestricted requirement.   All responsible sources may submit a proposal and offer which will be considered by the agency.
