Biosystems and Biomaterials Division strives to develop innovative methodologies, protocols, and reference materials to foster innovation in biotechnology and bio-surveillance. A cell sorter suited for small particle sorting, especially microbial cells, is needed for validating fluorescence flow cytometry enumeration and characterization work, and for isolating cells based on biological function for further manipulation.
