                                                              Notice of Intent – PTAG 6.1.1 Sole Source

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Office of the Under Secretary (OUS), intends to negotiate and award a sole‑source contract to design a festival-scale "House of Innovation" at the Great American State Fair, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

This requirement will be procured using the Alternative Competition Method in accordance with the Patent and Trademark Office Acquisition Guidelines (PTAG) and under the Patent and Trademark Office Efficiency Act, 35 U.S.C. 2(b)(4)(A). The USPTO is exempt from the Competition in Contracting Act (CICA) for this procurement. The USPTO intends to award a sole‑source order for a base period of May 13, 2026- July 12, 2026 (estimated) to Vu Technologies (UEI: P9RNSHN32KC4), under NAICS 512110, as they are uniquely qualified to perform this requirement due to its direct prior involvement responsible for developing and implementing proprietary exhibit components in support of the existing exhibit infrastructure in Alexandria, VA.
