**UPDATE 8 Sept 2026 - Amendment 0001 has been released and formally incorporated into the following.**

1. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE POC UPDATE: The Point of Contact (POC) for Inspection and Acceptance is changed from TSgt Patrick Cruz to TSgt Cheavin Kim.

2. SOLICITATION TIMELINE AND MILESTONES EXTENSION: Under the ADDENDUM TO FAR 52.212-1, the "Solicitation Timeline and Milestone" section is hereby revised to extend key dates as follows:

• - Quote Submission Deadline (Due Date): 15 September 2026 at 1100 hrs. JST (Note: Time zone reference clarified; The system defaults to Pacific Daytime).
• - Target Contract Award Date: 22 September 2026.

3. REMOVAL OF LABOR LINE ITEM REQUIREMENT: Under the ADDENDUM TO FAR 52.212-1, Volume 1: Technical Proposal Volume 2: Price Proposal revised. 

4. INCORPORATE THE FOLLOWING REVISED ATTACHMENTS: Performance Work Statement (dated 090126), Price Exhibit, and Questions & Answers Form.

** UPDATE 28 August 2026 - NOTICE OF INDEFINITE SOLICITATION POSTPOMENT  ***

The purpose of this update is to notify all prospective offerors taht the quote submission deadline for thsi requiremetn is hereby POSPONED INDEFINITELY.

Due to outstanding technical evaluations, the Government's official responses to industry Requests for Information (RFIs) are still being finalized on our end.  To ensure all bidders have a fair and equal opportunity to incorporate these technical clarifications into their proposals, the current deadline of 31 August 2026 is suspended.

A formal solicitation amendment (SF30) establishing a new, definitive quote submission deadline will be issued on SAM.gove once the Q&A register is finalized.  The Government will provide at least five (5) business days from the release of the Q&As to submit their final proposals.

The solicitation schedule is tentatively adjusted as follows:

1. RFI Submission Deadline (Closed): 26 August 2026 at 14:00 JST     
2. Quote Submission Deadline: POSTPONED (New date to be established via subsequent amendment)   
3. Target Award Date:  POSTPONED  (TBD)

** NOTICE: PRE-PROPOSAL SITE VISIT ANNOUNCEMENT --

Please be advised that the Government is hosting a pre-proposal site visit on Monday, 24 August 2026.  All prospective offerors are highly encouraged to attend.

1.  Date and Time:  24 Aug 2026  at 1300hrs JST

2. Meeting Location: Gate 1,  Kadena AB  (In front of Visitor Center)

REGISTRATION AND BASE ACCESS REQUIREMENTS:       

1. To reserve your site visit,  please fill out "Reservation Sheet for Site Visit" as attached and send it to the POC, Ms. Hana Machida via e-mail   NO LATER THAN 0900hrs 24 Aug 2026, JST                                                                
2. Due to escort transport limitation, attendance is limited to a maximum of two (2) representative per company.
3. Pleae have Photo ID Type (Japanese Driver's License, My Number Car, Passprt) for base entry.                                NOTE: For Non-Japanese Citizens:  If you are not Japanese citizen, please bring passport or Residence card (Zairyu card) for base entry.

The 18th Contracting Squadron (18CONS), Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan is soliciting quotes for a firm-fixed price purchase order to perform comprehensive maintenance, repair and replacement of industrial batteries on four (4) government -owned Lektro AP8850SDA Aircraft Handlers.

This requirement is funded using Department of Defense Operaration and Maintenance (O&M) funds.
