Request For Information C-130 Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP) Sustaining Engineering and Technical Support Services This Request for Information (RFI) / Sources Sought Synopsis is issued solely for informational, market research, and planning purposes pursuant to FAR Part 10. The Government anticipates pursuing a sole-source contract. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or solicitation, nor does it represent a commitment or authorization to incur costs on behalf of the United States Government (USG). The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to conduct C-130 Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP). Corrosion prevention and control is defined as the rigorous application of management principles, engineering design and analysis, quality assurance, nondestructive inspection, manufacturing, operations and support technologies, and practices to prevent the initiation of corrosion, avoid functional impairment due to corrosion, and define processes for the tracking and repair of corrosion problems. The Contractor shall provide sustaining engineering and technical support for the C-130 CPCP for the C-130 Hercules Division (AFLCMC/WLN) at Robins Air Force Base (AFB), GA. The Contractor shall provide engineering and technical support for the strategic planning and oversight of the corrosion program and the ASIP requirements of MIL-STD-1530D. Services include engineering and technical analysis, providing guidance for corrective action, and providing documentation as required for the prevention, control and resolution of corrosion related issues on C-130 aircraft: Developing and providing annual updates to the C-130 Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPC) Plan Conducting annual corrosion assessments of USAF C-130 fleet and operating locations, including evaluation of aircraft, facilities, and maintenance personnel, to include Special Operations Forces (SOF) managed C-130s Performing concept studies and analysis in the identification and definition, preliminary planning, and evaluation of alternative technical approaches for all USAF C-130 aircraft Conducting concept studies and testing for implementation of new coatings, sealants, or other corrosion related products and processes, including test plan development and final report delivery with findings and recommendations to the USAF Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards.
