Notice of Intent to Sole Source: TAK Ecosystem Software Maintenance

DTRA intends to award a sole-source, follow-on contract for the maintenance, sustainment, and integration of its Department of War (DoW) TAK ecosystem. This core requirement involves sustained software testing, analysis and engineering to ensure compatibility between software updates made to the TAK platform by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, INC, (Draper).

The statutory authority for this non-competitive action is FAR 6.103-1(c)(2) / Class Deviation 2026-O0017. DTRA has determined that Charles Stark Draper Laboratory is the only source capable of providing these highly specialized services without compromising mission capabilities.

This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. A competitive Request for Information (RFI) was previously conducted (HDTRA126CETAK).
