National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) Lifestyle Change Program, Prevent T2 Curriculum Training

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Indian Health Service (IHS), Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS), has a requirement for National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP) Lifestyle Change Program PreventT2 curriculum training.

This requirement is being solicited as a total small business set aside. 

The Contractor shall provide one (1) two-day, in-person training for up to 18 Navajo Area IHS staff and public health professionals using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-recognized PreventT2 curriculum or an equivalent National DPP curriculum that meets current CDC standards. The training will support participants in developing the skills necessary to implement the National DPP Lifestyle Change Program and support attainment of CDC Diabetes Prevention Recognition Program (DPRP) or equivalent recognition.

The Contractor shall provide qualified instructors, all required instructor and participant training materials, educational resources/toolkits, certificates of completion, applicable Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and a post-training report summarizing participant completion, training outcomes, certification status, and evaluation results.

Training shall be conducted in person at a Government-designated location within the Navajo Nation.

The Contractor shall demonstrate experience using the CDC-approved PreventT2 curriculum or equivalent National DPP curriculum; experience providing diabetes prevention, health education, or lifestyle coaching training; appropriately qualified instructors; experience delivering adult education or professional training; and experience working with American Indian/Alaska Native communities in a culturally responsive and respectful manner.

The Government anticipates awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract. The applicable NAICS code is 611430, Professional and Management Development Training.

Award will be made to the responsible quoter whose quotation is determined to be most advantageous to the Government, considering Technical Capability, Past Performance, and Price. Quoters shall review the solicitation and all attachments for complete requirements, submission instructions, and evaluation criteria.
