SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A SURVEY OF THE MARKET TO DETERMINE IF THERE ARE POTENTIAL CONTRACTORS THAT CAN SATISFY THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENT: SHI Replace Lead Glazed Bathtubs at United States Coast Guard Rio Bayamon Housing Base San Juan, Puerto Rico PNUM 24658602

Provide Design-Build services for the repair work required for SHI Replace Lead Glazed Bathtubs at United States Coast Guard Rio Bayamon Housing Base San Juan, PR. Perform the work according to this specification:

Summary of Scope of Work

1. The contractor shall conduct pre-construction asbestos containing materials and lead-based paint survey and testing on all materials affected by the work.
2. Remove and replace with new 120 existing lead glazed bathtubs.
3. Provide new steel glazed bathtubs that are free of lead and secure them against walls.
4. Upon completion of work, the contractor shall provide certification showing area to be clear of any asbestos containing materials or lead based paint.
5. Properly coordinate generated waste from lead glazed bathtubs 
   A. Any waste generated shall be properly characterized and shall be recycled or be disposed of in accordance with RCRA requirements. Dispose of all waste in accordance with federal/PuertoRico/local laws.
   B. All wastes to include paint chips, debris and whole bathtubs must be labeled correctly and hazardous waste manifests prepared and signed for any hazardous waste. If not hazardous, ensure disposal goes to an approved landfill.

The performance period of the design and construction phase will be a total of two hundred ninety (240) calendar days. The estimated value of this procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) code is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building

Construction. The small business size standard has an annual gross receipt of $25 million.

Bid, Payment, and Performance Bonds are REQUIRED.

The following are tentative dates for this project:

Bid Opening: November 2026
Contract Performance Completion: July 2027
