Notice of Intent to Sole Source Marine Corps Dress White Trousers

This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract using FAR Part 12 procedures. Supply needed: Marine Barracks Washington requires to purchase Officer White Trousers (Uniform Items). See Document "Uniform Description" for details.

The Government intends to award on a sole source basis to: The Fechheimer Brothers Company, 4545 Malsbary RD, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45242 under the authority of FAR 6.103-1(b), the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.

The reason for this Sole Source Award Notice of Intent is that THE FECHHEIMER BROTHERS COMPANY is the only vendor certified by Marine Corps Clothing/Quality Certification and Marine Corps Systems Command to provide the White Trousers to the United States Marine Corps with an expiration date of 2028. 

Vendors interested in getting certified to provide future uniform items to the Marine Corps may respond via email to recieve Marine Corps Clothing/Quality point of contact. In your response, please indicate whether you have the current capabilities to provide the specified uniform items. Responses are due 17 Aug 2026 1000 EST.
