This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1232SA26Q1216  is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the maintenance repair of a 600 kW Caterpillar Model C18 diesel generator.

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 811310  The small business size standard is $12.5 million.  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), North Central Agricultural Research Laboratory (NCARL) in Brookings, SD requires the maintenance repair of a 600 kW Caterpillar Model C18 diesel generator. Identified maintenance and parts needing replaced are:

• Air filer element replacement
• Crankcase breather filter replacement
• Coolan hose/lines heater replacement
• Wiring harness unit injector replacement
• Valve cover base replacement
• Perform inlet/exhaust valve top adjust
• Recondition fan bearing hub
