Event Overview

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New York District, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) will host the Fall FY27 Industry Day from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 15, 2026. The hybrid event will bring industry, government, community organizations, and other interested attendees together with USMMA and USACE leadership for an updated view of the Campus Modernization Initiative, its strategic direction, and anticipated procurement activity. This event is open to the general public, and interested vendors.

The FY27-FY28 forecast will emphasize the substantial heavy construction opportunities central to the modernization program while also addressing utility upgrades and complementary supporting and non-construction requirements. In-person participation is strongly encouraged. Prior registration is required for every attendee and closes at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 12, 2026.

Check-In: Opens at 10:00 a.m.; in-person attendees should arrive no later than 10:45 a.m. to allow at least 15 minutes for networking before the program begins

Location: U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, 300 Steamboat Road, Kings Point, NY 11024; enter through the main gate

Format: Hybrid; in-person attendance is strongly encouraged. Registered virtual attendees will receive a Microsoft Teams link on October 13, 2026

Audience: All interested attendees age 16 or older (public attendees welcome)

Industry Day Highlights

The Industry Day program will include the following:

• Welcome and Keynote Remarks: USACE leadership, USMMA Academy leadership, and invited guests will discuss the modernization program, acquisition approaches, and community impacts.
• Strategic Program Overview: A general USMMA overview and FY27-FY28 Campus Modernization update, including the strategic vision, updated waterfall chart, and local-government and community considerations.
• Heavy Construction Forecast: A focused review of the significant heavy construction opportunities expected to drive the modernization program. Specific project names, dollar ranges, and acquisition methods will be presented at the event rather than released in this notice.
• Supporting and Utility Requirements: Discussion of utility upgrades and complementary non-construction requirements that support successful delivery of the broader construction program.
• Executive Panel and Q&A: A moderator-led discussion with USMMA leadership, USACE program representatives, and USACE Contracting, including questions and topics submitted by industry.
• Doing Business with the Government: A practical session presented by the USACE Office of Small Business Programs.
• Campus Tour and Networking: A campus tour and opportunities to engage with program managers, technical staff, government representatives, community stakeholders, and industry peers.

Advance Industry Questions: Industry partners may submit proposed questions or discussion topics for the executive panel to Zachery.A.Bernard@usace.army.mil no later than September 30, 2026.

Registration is required for every attendee, regardless of affiliation or attendance method. Email the information below to Zachery.A.Bernard@usace.army.mil no later than 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, October 12, 2026. Use the subject line "USMMA FY27 Industry Day Registration." One representative may register multiple attendees, but the required information must be provided separately for each person.

Campus Access Requirements

All in-person attendees must present a valid REAL ID-compliant credential or another form of government-issued photo identification acceptable to USMMA security and comply with all campus-entry instructions provided to registered attendees.

Logistics and Parking

• Campus Entrance: Use the main gate at 300 Steamboat Road, Kings Point, NY 11024.
• Parking: Free attendee parking is available in Marvin Lot; overnight parking is not permitted.
• Arrival: Check-in opens at 10:00 a.m. Allow time to enter, park, and walk to the event location; arrive no later than 10:45 a.m. for networking.
• On-Site Directions: Follow posted signs and directions from USMMA security and event personnel.

Updates, Changes, and Cancellations

Any material change to the schedule, format, access procedures, or event status will be announced through an amendment to this SAM.gov notice and by email to registered attendees.
